The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जगृहुस्ते तदा मत्ता हतशिष्टमरेर्बलम् ।
आसंस्तत्सैनिकास्तत्र भिन्नास्त्रक्षुब्धचेतनाः ॥ १८ ॥

jagṛhuste tadā mattā hataśiṣṭamarerbalam |
āsaṃstatsainikāstatra bhinnāstrakṣubdhacetanāḥ || 18 ||

They ran and attacked with fury the remaining forces of the enemy, that stood weaponless in the field, with their broken and sorrowful hearts.
