The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उदगुर्भीषणा दिग्भ्यः परुषा वनराक्षसाः ।
पातालगजफूत्कारक्षुब्धा इव महार्णवाः ॥ ४८ ॥

udagurbhīṣaṇā digbhyaḥ paruṣā vanarākṣasāḥ |
pātālagajaphūtkārakṣubdhā iva mahārṇavāḥ || 48 ||

These horrid and destructive darts flew on all sides in the air, and roared as the roaring sea and elephantine clouds (dighastis) of heaven.
