The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्यस्तशस्त्राम्बरा मूका विषण्णवदनेक्षणाः ।
मृता इवाभवन्योधाश्चित्रन्यस्ता इवाथवा ॥ २५ ॥

vyastaśastrāmbarā mūkā viṣaṇṇavadanekṣaṇāḥ |
mṛtā ivābhavanyodhāścitranyastā ivāthavā || 25 ||

Struck with this weapon, the soldiers became as mute as moonstruck, staring in their looks, and appearing as dead bodies or as pictures in a painting.
