The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.48.11

तयोश्चटचटास्फोटं शृण्वत्कोदण्डयोर्द्वयोः ।
बलद्वयमभूत्प्रेक्षामूकं शान्त इवाम्बुधिः ॥ ११ ॥

tayoścaṭacaṭāsphoṭaṃ śṛṇvatkodaṇḍayordvayoḥ |
baladvayamabhūtprekṣāmūkaṃ śānta ivāmbudhiḥ || 11 ||

The jarring sound (chatchat) of their bowstrings, hushed the clamour of the two armies, as a calm quiets the roaring of the raging sea.
