The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

धनुरास्फालयामास चिरारावितदिङ्मुखम् ।
कल्पान्तपवनास्फोट इव मेरुगिरेस्तटम् ॥ २ ॥

dhanurāsphālayāmāsa cirārāvitadiṅmukham |
kalpāntapavanāsphoṭa iva merugirestaṭam || 2 ||

The twanging of his bow resounded in the air on all sides, and growled as loudly as the howling of winds in the caverns of mountains.
