The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.47.4

तेनासावेव जयति जीयते च विदूरथः ।
ज्ञप्तिरन्तर्गता संविदेतां मां यो यदा यथा ॥ ४ ॥

tenāsāveva jayati jīyate ca vidūrathaḥ |
jñaptirantargatā saṃvidetāṃ māṃ yo yadā yathā || 4 ||

He lives and enjoys his life as it was desired by him, while his antagonist gains the conquest according to his aim and object.
