The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीसरस्वत्युवाच ।
चिरमाराधितानेन विदूरथनृपारिणा ।
अहं पुत्रि जयार्थेन न विदूरथभूभृता ॥ ३ ॥

śrīsarasvatyuvāca |
ciramārādhitānena vidūrathanṛpāriṇā |
ahaṃ putri jayārthena na vidūrathabhūbhṛtā || 3 ||

Sarasvati replied:—Know ye daughters, that I was ever solicited by Viduratha's enemy to confer him victory in battle, which your husband never craved of me.
