The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इत्युक्ता सा तदा ज्ञप्तिः स्मृत्वा तद्भक्तिभावनम् ।
इदं प्रसन्ना प्रोवाच तां लीलां तत्पुरास्पदाम् ॥ ५ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
ityuktā sā tadā jñaptiḥ smṛtvā tadbhaktibhāvanam |
idaṃ prasannā provāca tāṃ līlāṃ tatpurāspadām || 5 ||

Vasishtha said:—The goddess being thus addressed by the lady, remembered her faith and reliance in her, and then spake with complacence to the lady standing suppliant before her.
