Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.44.27

एवं न सन्नासदिदं भ्रान्तिमात्रं विभासते ।
महाकल्पान्तसंपत्तावप्यद्याथ युगेऽनघ ॥ २७ ॥

evaṃ na sannāsadidaṃ bhrāntimātraṃ vibhāsate |
mahākalpāntasaṃpattāvapyadyātha yuge'nagha || 27 ||

So there is neither any entity nor nonentity either, but both appear to us as fallacies by turns. For what neither was before, nor will be, after a Kalpa=creation or dissolution, the same cannot exist to-day or in any Yuga=age, whether gone before or coming afterwards.
