The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
एतस्मिन्नन्तरे राजमहिषी मत्तयौवना ।
तद्विवेश गृहं लक्ष्मीरिव पङ्कजकोटरम् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
etasminnantare rājamahiṣī mattayauvanā |
tadviveśa gṛhaṃ lakṣmīriva paṅkajakoṭaram || 1 ||

Vasishtha said:—At this instant the great queen, who was in the bloom of youthful beauty, entered the camp of Viduratha, as the goddess of grace pops upon the lotus flower.
