The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथ वातायनाद्देव्यौ मन्त्री राजा विदूरथः ।
ददृशुः प्रोल्लसन्नादं महानिशि महापुरम् ॥ १४ ॥

atha vātāyanāddevyau mantrī rājā vidūrathaḥ |
dadṛśuḥ prollasannādaṃ mahāniśi mahāpuram || 14 ||

All these were heard and seen by the goddesses and the prince and his minister, from an opening of the tent; and the city was found to be in a blaze in the darkness of the night.
