The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यद्द्रष्टुश्चित्स्वरूपं तत्स्वप्नाकाशान्तरस्थितम् ।
स्वप्नाकाशचित्ताभं हि नरानामेति भावितम् ॥ १२ ॥

yaddraṣṭuścitsvarūpaṃ tatsvapnākāśāntarasthitam |
svapnākāśacittābhaṃ hi narānāmeti bhāvitam || 12 ||

The mind of the viewer, remains in its self-same state amidst the sphere of his dreams, and represents the images thought of by itself in that visionary sphere of mankind.
