The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

परिव्राड्विपिनं यात इह राज्येऽभिषिच्य माम् ।
ततो दिग्विजयं कृत्वा कृत्वा राज्यमकण्टकम् ॥ ३९ ॥

parivrāḍvipinaṃ yāta iha rājye'bhiṣicya mām |
tato digvijayaṃ kṛtvā kṛtvā rājyamakaṇṭakam || 39 ||

That your father became an ascetic in the woods, and left you in the government of the realm. And that you have subjugated many countries under your dominion, and are now reigning as the lord paramount over them.
