The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.41.38

एवंनामान एते मे पुराभूवन्पितामहाः ।
जातोऽहमभवं बालो दशवर्षस्य मे पिता ॥ ३८ ॥

evaṃnāmāna ete me purābhūvanpitāmahāḥ |
jāto'hamabhavaṃ bālo daśavarṣasya me pitā || 38 ||

It is mere imagination, which has made you to suppose yourself to be named so and so, and that such and such persons were your progenitors, and that you had been a boy of ten years.
