The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.40.44

वृद्धिमित्थमयं यातो मुधैव भुवनभ्रमः ।
स्वप्नाङ्गनासङ्गसमस्त्वनुभूतोऽप्यसन्मयः ॥ ४४ ॥

vṛddhimitthamayaṃ yāto mudhaiva bhuvanabhramaḥ |
svapnāṅganāsaṅgasamastvanubhūto'pyasanmayaḥ || 44 ||

It then thinks itself to be fully developed in the womb, as a man dreams of a fairy form in his sleep, and believes this illusion as a reality.
