The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शिवामुखानलशिखाखण्डोत्थमितिरक्तगैः ।
समुड्डीननवाशोकपुष्पगुच्छमिवाभितः ॥ २८ ॥

śivāmukhānalaśikhākhaṇḍotthamitiraktagaiḥ |
samuḍḍīnanavāśokapuṣpagucchamivābhitaḥ || 28 ||

Pieces of blood-red flesh, fallen from the fiery jaws of jackals, resembled clusters of asoka flowers, strewn all around the funeral ground.
