The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.39.23

पतद्वेतालसोल्लासमध्यस्थासृग्विरूपिकम् ।
पिशाचाकर्णिताभ्यर्णयोगिनीगणनायकम् ॥ २३ ॥

patadvetālasollāsamadhyasthāsṛgvirūpikam |
piśācākarṇitābhyarṇayoginīgaṇanāyakam || 23 ||

The Vetala goblins fell down in the dark and discoloured blood-pits, lying hid in the midst of the heaps of dead bodies; while the Pisacha ogres and the leaders of Yogini sprites, laughed at them for their false step.
