The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मत्तवेतालकलहचितालातरणोज्ज्वलम् ।
वहद्रक्तवसामिश्रगन्धबन्धुरमारुतम् ॥ २० ॥

mattavetālakalahacitālātaraṇojjvalam |
vahadraktavasāmiśragandhabandhuramārutam || 20 ||

The giddy Vetalas fought with one another with the lighted faggots of the piles, and the winds were wafting the stench of the putrid carcasses on all sides.
