The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.38.42

उह्यमानध्वजच्छत्रचारुचामरपङ्कजम् ।
किरत्संध्यारुणं दिक्षु तेजस्कं रक्तपङ्कजम् ॥ ४२ ॥

uhyamānadhvajacchatracārucāmarapaṅkajam |
kiratsaṃdhyāruṇaṃ dikṣu tejaskaṃ raktapaṅkajam || 42 ||

The floating flags and umbrellas and flappers, seemed as white lotuses in the lake of blood below, while the evening stretched her train of stars like red lotuses in the etherial sea above.
