The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वहद्रक्तनदीरंहःप्रोह्यमानहयद्विपम् ।
शरशक्त्यृष्टिमुसलगदाप्रासासिसंकुलम् ॥ २२ ॥

vahadraktanadīraṃhaḥprohyamānahayadvipam |
śaraśaktyṛṣṭimusalagadāprāsāsisaṃkulam || 22 ||

Streams of blood were running with the dead bodies of horses and elephants, and heaps of arrows and spears and mattocks and mallets, flowing together with broken swords and missiles.
