The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.38.8

अथसेनाधिनाथाभ्यां विचार्य सहमन्त्रिभिः ।
दूताः परस्परं वृत्ता युद्धं संह्रियतामिति ॥ ८ ॥

athasenādhināthābhyāṃ vicārya sahamantribhiḥ |
dūtāḥ parasparaṃ vṛttā yuddhaṃ saṃhriyatāmiti || 8 ||

Then the commanders of the armies, in concert with the ministers of war, sent envoys to the hostile parties for a truce to the fighting.
