The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तुषाका मेसलैः कीर्णाः शरशक्त्यसिमुद्गरैः ।
विद्रुता नरकैः क्षिप्ताः कटकच्छलना अपि ॥ ५४ ॥

tuṣākā mesalaiḥ kīrṇāḥ śaraśaktyasimudgaraiḥ |
vidrutā narakaiḥ kṣiptāḥ kaṭakacchalanā api || 54 ||

The Tushakas were beset by the Mesalas, with their darts, spears and mallets; and the sly Katakas were defeated and driven away by the Narakas in battle.
