The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.37.37

ब्रह्मावत्सनका नीपैश्चक्रैः कृत्ता गता महीम् ।
सहयाः क्रकचोन्कृत्ता वृक्षाः कुसुमिता इव ॥ ३७ ॥

brahmāvatsanakā nīpaiścakraiḥ kṛttā gatā mahīm |
sahayāḥ krakaconkṛttā vṛkṣāḥ kusumitā iva || 37 ||

The Burmese and Vatsenis were cut down on the ground by the disks of the Nipas (Nepalese); and the Sahyas were sawn down with saws as withered trees.
