The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नाराचैश्चर्विताश्चीना जीर्णा जर्जरजीविताः ।
जहुर्जलनिधौ देहान्भारभूतानिव स्थितान् ॥ १५ ॥

nārācaiścarvitāścīnā jīrṇā jarjarajīvitāḥ |
jahurjalanidhau dehānbhārabhūtāniva sthitān || 15 ||

The Chinas (Chinese) were mangled in their bodies by darts and arrows, and cast their tortured bodies in the water, as a burden they could no longer support.
