The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.35.16

सरच्छरालीशलभशतभङ्गुरसैनिकः ।
तरत्तरङ्गशरभः शरभारवनावनिः ॥ १६ ॥

saraccharālīśalabhaśatabhaṅgurasainikaḥ |
tarattaraṅgaśarabhaḥ śarabhāravanāvaniḥ || 16 ||

The field is turned to a forest of arrows, and wounded soldiers are standing fixed on the ground as trees, with the arrows flying as locusts, and the horses moving like antelopes in it.
