The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

गरुत्मत्पक्षविक्षुब्धवनसंपातकम्पितम् ।
उद्यद्दिनकरालोकचञ्चत्कनककङ्कटम् ॥ ६ ॥

garutmatpakṣavikṣubdhavanasaṃpātakampitam |
udyaddinakarālokacañcatkanakakaṅkaṭam || 6 ||

Showers of shafts fell with a force, that would pierce the pinions of garuda, and struck out the glare of sunbeams, by hitting at the armours of the warriors.
