The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अथ वीरवरोत्कण्ठनृत्यदप्सरसि स्थिता ।
लीलावलोकयामास व्योम्नि विद्यान्वितावनौ ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
atha vīravarotkaṇṭhanṛtyadapsarasi sthitā |
līlāvalokayāmāsa vyomni vidyānvitāvanau || 1 ||

Vasishtha said:—Lila standing with the goddess of wisdom in air, saw the Apsaras dancing there, at the eagerness of the combatants for war below.
