The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

घनरात्रितयाल्पाल्पमहानिद्राजनाकुलम् ।
धूपचन्दनकर्पूरकुङ्कुमामोदमन्थरम् ॥ ३ ॥

ghanarātritayālpālpamahānidrājanākulam |
dhūpacandanakarpūrakuṅkumāmodamantharam || 3 ||

It was the dead of night, and the inmates had fallen into sound sleep one by one; and the room was perfumed with the incense of resin, camphor and sandalwood and saffron.
