The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दिनैरष्टभिरेवासौ तेन राज्यं समृद्धिमत् ।
चिरकालप्रत्ययदं प्राप्तवान्परमेश्वरि ॥ ३४ ॥

dinairaṣṭabhirevāsau tena rājyaṃ samṛddhimat |
cirakālapratyayadaṃ prāptavānparameśvari || 34 ||

I see, O goddess! his royal dignity of eight days, which had seemed to be of so long a duration (as eighty years) before.
