The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एष मे ज्येष्ठशर्माख्यः पुत्रो रोदिति मन्दिरे ।
एषा मे जङ्गले धेनुर्दोग्ध्री चरति शाद्वलम् ॥ २१ ॥
eṣa me jyeṣṭhaśarmākhyaḥ putro roditi mandire |
eṣā me jaṅgale dhenurdogdhrī carati śādvalam || 21 ||
This is my eldest son Jyeshtha Sarma, weeping in the house; and this is my milch cow, now grazing on the grassy plain in the forest.
