The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.27.33

यथा तरङ्गः सरसि भूत्वा भूत्वा पुनर्भवेत् ।
विचित्राकारकालाङ्गदेशाज्ञप्तावलं तथा ॥ ३३ ॥

yathā taraṅgaḥ sarasi bhūtvā bhūtvā punarbhavet |
vicitrākārakālāṅgadeśājñaptāvalaṃ tathā || 33 ||

As billows in the lake, rise and set and rise again, so the rising and falling days and nights present these various scenes to our knowledge.
