The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.37

अशङ्कमशकापातस्पन्दमप्यतिचापलम् ।
कलयन्त्यः स्थिता वाप्यो निस्पन्दानन्दमात्मनि ॥ ३७ ॥

aśaṅkamaśakāpātaspandamapyaticāpalam |
kalayantyaḥ sthitā vāpyo nispandānandamātmani || 37 ||

The ponds are as still in their sorrow, as men sitting in their meditative posture (Samadhi), notwithstanding the disturbance of the gnats flying incessantly upon them.
