The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.29

दिवसं प्रति वृक्षाणामवश्यायाश्रुबिन्दवः ।
गुच्छलोचनकोशेभ्यस्तापोष्णानि पतन्त्यधः ॥ २९ ॥

divasaṃ prati vṛkṣāṇāmavaśyāyāśrubindavaḥ |
gucchalocanakośebhyastāpoṣṇāni patantyadhaḥ || 29 ||

The trees are shedding their tears every day in drops of melting snow, exuding from the cells of their leaves and flowers, resembling the sockets of their eyes.
