The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.21

इति तद्वचनान्ते ते देव्यावूचतुरादरात् ।
आख्यात दुःखं येनायं लक्ष्यते दुःखितो जनः ॥ २१ ॥

iti tadvacanānte te devyāvūcaturādarāt |
ākhyāta duḥkhaṃ yenāyaṃ lakṣyate duḥkhito janaḥ || 21 ||

After he had ended, the goddesses addressed him gently and said, tell us the cause of your sorrow, which has made you all so sad.
