Verse 3.26.5

वातच्छिन्नमिवाम्भोदं हिमदग्धमिवाम्बुजम् ।
अल्पस्नेहदशं दीपमिवालोकनभेदनम् ॥ ५ ॥

alpasnehadaśaṃ dīpamivālokanabhedanam || 5 ||

It was as joyless as the dried lotus, torn by a blast or withering under the frost; and as faint as the light of a lamp, without its wick or oil; and as dim as the eyeball without its light.
