The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.23.7

निर्विकल्पसमाधानाज्जहतुर्बाह्यसंविदम् ।
यथा कल्पलते कान्ते पूर्वमृत्वन्तरे रसम् ॥ ७ ॥

nirvikalpasamādhānājjahaturbāhyasaṃvidam |
yathā kalpalate kānte pūrvamṛtvantare rasam || 7 ||

They continued in fixed attention without any external sensation, like some lonely creepers shrivelled for want of the moisture of the season.
