The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बभूवतुर्भृशं शान्ते शुद्धे स्पन्दविवर्जिते ।
गिरौ शरदि निर्वात इव भ्रष्टाभ्रमालिके ॥ ६ ॥

babhūvaturbhṛśaṃ śānte śuddhe spandavivarjite |
girau śaradi nirvāta iva bhraṣṭābhramālike || 6 ||

They remained still, calm and quiet and without any motion of their limbs, like a sheet of clouds hanging on the mountain top in the calm of autumn.
