The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.21.77

वासनाक्षयबीजेऽस्मिन्किंचिदङ्कुरिते हृदि ।
क्रमान्नोदयमेष्यन्ति रागद्वेषादिका दृशः ॥ ७७ ॥

vāsanākṣayabīje'sminkiṃcidaṅkurite hṛdi |
kramānnodayameṣyanti rāgadveṣādikā dṛśaḥ || 77 ||

When the seed of inappetency has taken root in your heart, and begun to germinate in it, the sprouts of your affections and hatred (literally—pathos and apathy), will be destroyed of themselves.
