The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.20.43

वीचित्वं च रसे नास्ति शशशृङ्गवदेव हि ।
सैव चेत्यमिवापन्ना स्वभावादच्युताप्यलम् ॥ ४३ ॥

vīcitvaṃ ca rase nāsti śaśaśṛṅgavadeva hi |
saiva cetyamivāpannā svabhāvādacyutāpyalam || 43 ||

The waves though formed of water, are themselves as false as the horns of hares; and their appearance as natural objects: is altogether false.
