The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.20.23

स्थितो ब्राह्मणगेहान्तर्द्विजजीवस्तदम्बरे ।
ससमुद्रवना पृथ्वी स्थिताब्ज इव षट्पदः ॥ २३ ॥

sthito brāhmaṇagehāntardvijajīvastadambare |
sasamudravanā pṛthvī sthitābja iva ṣaṭpadaḥ || 23 ||

The spirit of the Brahman resided in the vacuity of his house (the body), with the seas and forests and the earth (i. e. their impressions) within itself, as the bee abides in the lotus.
