The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.20.4

भ्रमादस्माच्चिदाकाशे भ्रमोऽयं प्रतिबिम्बितः ।
असत्य एव वा सत्यो भवतोर्भवभङ्गदः ॥ ४ ॥

bhramādasmāccidākāśe bhramo'yaṃ pratibimbitaḥ |
asatya eva vā satyo bhavatorbhavabhaṅgadaḥ || 4 ||

The erroneous knowledge (derived from sense), casts its reflection in the intellect, and causes its error also; (errors in the senses breed errors in the mind); and this makes you doubtful of the truth and untruth of the two states;
