The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पिण्डग्रहो जगत्यस्मिन्विज्ञानाकाशरूपिणि ।
मरुनद्यां जलमिव न संभवति कुत्रचित् ॥ ७ ॥

piṇḍagraho jagatyasminvijñānākāśarūpiṇi |
marunadyāṃ jalamiva na saṃbhavati kutracit || 7 ||

The earth appearing as solid, is in the light of philosophy, no better than the liquid water of a river, in the mirage of a sandy desert, and is never in existence.
