The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.14.41

परिणामविकारादिशब्दैः सैव चिदव्यया ।
तादृग्रूपादभेद्यापि स्वशक्त्यैव विबुध्यते ॥ ४१ ॥

pariṇāmavikārādiśabdaiḥ saiva cidavyayā |
tādṛgrūpādabhedyāpi svaśaktyaiva vibudhyate || 41 ||

The Intellect is said to remain unchanged in all its succeeding stages; and though it never changes from that state, yet it wakes (developes) by a power intrinsic in itself.
