The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.14.23

जीवो बुद्धिः क्रियास्पन्दो मनोद्वित्वैक्यमित्यपि ।
स्वसत्तां प्रकचन्तीं तां नियोजयति वेदने ॥ २३ ॥

jīvo buddhiḥ kriyāspando manodvitvaikyamityapi |
svasattāṃ prakacantīṃ tāṃ niyojayati vedane || 23 ||

They add to their knowledge of the soul the attributes of the living principle, understanding, action, motion, mind and unity and duality, as if these appertain to its nature.
