The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्मात्रानुक्रमेणैव संप्रफुल्ललतामिव ।
ननु मूर्ताममूर्ता वा तामेवाशु प्रपश्यति ॥ २२ ॥
cinmātrānukrameṇaiva saṃpraphullalatāmiva |
nanu mūrtāmamūrtā vā tāmevāśu prapaśyati || 22 ||
The living soul is viewed by many to evolve itself from the intellect into many visible and invisible forms (murta-mutam); just as a plant is seen to develope itself into its fruits and flowers.
