The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.13.9

जगदाद्यङ्कुरं यत्र तत्रस्थमपि मुञ्चति ।
जगतः पञ्चकं बीजं पञ्चकस्य चिदव्यया ॥ ९ ॥

jagadādyaṅkuraṃ yatra tatrasthamapi muñcati |
jagataḥ pañcakaṃ bījaṃ pañcakasya cidavyayā || 9 ||

Wherever there is the germ of the world, it develops itself even at that place; the live elements are the five fold seed of the world, but the undecaying intellect is the seed of the quintuple.
