The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विषमोऽयमतिप्रश्नो भवता समुदाहृतः ।
भेत्तास्म्यहं त्वयत्नेन नैशं तम इवांशुमान् ॥ ५ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
viṣamo'yamatipraśno bhavatā samudāhṛtaḥ |
bhettāsmyahaṃ tvayatnena naiśaṃ tama ivāṃśumān || 5 ||

Vasishtha said:—You have raised a difficult extra-question, Rama! but I shall have no difficulty to solve it, as the sun is at no pains to dispel the nocturnal gloom.
