The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.7.13

श्रीराम उवाच ।
यस्मिञ्जीवे हि विज्ञाते न विनश्यति संसृतिः ।
व्योमरूपी पशुस्त्वज्ञः स ब्रह्मन्कुत्र कीदृशः ॥ १३ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
yasmiñjīve hi vijñāte na vinaśyati saṃsṛtiḥ |
vyomarūpī paśustvajñaḥ sa brahmankutra kīdṛśaḥ || 13 ||

Rama said:—Tell me sir, where and how is that vacuous soul called pasu, by the knowledge of which no one can get rid of his transmigration.
