The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चेत्यनिर्मुक्तता या स्यादचेत्योन्मुखताथवा ।
अस्य सा भरितावस्था तां ज्ञात्वा नानुशोचति ॥ ९ ॥

cetyanirmuktatā yā syādacetyonmukhatāthavā |
asya sā bharitāvasthā tāṃ jñātvā nānuśocati || 9 ||

Intellectual liberation (chetya mukta) from thoughts of the world, is one state (of the soul), and unintelligent gazing (unmukhata) at it, is another. He who knows the better of these two the states of the soul, has no cause of sorrow,
