The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चलतीदमनिच्छस्य कायो यो यस्य संनिधौ ।
जडं परमरक्तस्य शान्तमात्मनि तिष्ठतः ॥ २१ ॥

calatīdamanicchasya kāyo yo yasya saṃnidhau |
jaḍaṃ paramaraktasya śāntamātmani tiṣṭhataḥ || 21 ||

It is the insensible and ungodly soul, that turns to the attractions of others against its purpose; while the tranquil soul rests in itself.
